Five-time Wimbledon winner, Venus Williams, will not be facing criminal charges after her car crash that led to the death of a 78-year-old man few months ago.
Venus was been involved in a fatal car crash in few months ago (June 2017), after another car crashed into hers at a 6-lane intersection, thereby leading to the death of Jerome Barson.
The police had initially charged Venus for the crash, but surveillance footage of the incident supported her claim, that she entered the intersection on a green light but got stopped mid-point after another car turned left in front of her. The occupants of the car were a couple, and the accident led to the death of the male occupant, Jerome, who was sitting in the passenger sit as his wife, Linda, drove.
