Adult film star Jessica Jaymes has died, age 43.
The porn star, who had appeared in over 236 movies, was found unresponsive by a friend who called the ambulance. Law enforcement sources claimed that emergency services received a call on Tuesday afternoon for a cardiac arrest in the San Fernando Valley.
The actress was pronounced dead on the scene. Her cause of death is unknown and the LA County Coroner’s Office is now investigating.
Media reports alleges that she had a history of seizures, and various prescription drugs were found at her home. Jessica worked as a teacher for three years before she began to appear in adult films in 2002.
In 2004 she was signed by Hustler, and in 2005 was named their ‘honey of the year’; she remained an active performer on her exclusive content website. As well as porn, she appeared as herself on several episodes of the Showtime series Weeds as well as on Celebrity Rehab Sober House.
Tributes poured in on social media, with Romi Rain tweeting: ‘Jessica Jaymes was one of the nicest big-name girls to me when I was new, and every time I’ve seen her after that. I felt welcomed by her, motivated by her many successes and grateful for a friendly face. I didn’t know her well, but I will definitely miss her energy.’
Hustler magazine added: ‘Jessica Jaymes was a bright light & a powerful force within our industry. Hearing of her passing left us all with heavy hearts, a deep sadness, & fond memories. Our thoughts & prayers go out to Jessica’s family & to all those who loved her. She will be missed & forever loved.’
