The Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong has announced that all of the 19 Northern State Governors will receive their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine publicly once the country receives delivery of it from Germany. 
Gov Lalong announced this publicly during a webinar organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, where the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine were discussed.

The Plateau State Governor was represented at the event by his Secretary of the State Government Prof Danladi Atu, who said that all of the Northern Governors will publicly receive the COVID-19 vaccine so as to quell fears of surrounding it.
He said;
“We – the Northern Governors – have agreed to take the first doses of the vaccines.”
