Popular Nollywood actress Ini Edo has taken to social media to celebrate her daughter, Light, on her second birthday.
The 39-year-old actress, who starred in the movie ‘Shanty Town,’ shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram page on Thursday to mark the occasion.
In the post, Ini Edo described her daughter as a shining light and the most precious, adorable little girl.
She went on to express her joy at being a mother and thanked God for blessing her with the greatest gift.
Ini Edo also dedicated her daughter to God, expressing her gratitude to Him for never sleeping nor slumbering and for taking excellent care of them. She ended the message by wishing her daughter a happy birthday and asking her to grow in wisdom and abundance of grace.

On the 15th of March 2021, God blessed me with the greatest Gift and my biggest heart desire. A Shining light and the most precious, adorable little girl. I never knew how much my life would change and how much comfort and Joy a human could bring.. My smart and loving Princess, I love you more than life itself.. You are a Light to us and to your generation. As you turn 2, I re dedicate you to the God that Gave you to me. The One who never sleeps nor slumber. HE is doing an excellent Job at taking care of us.. Grow in wisdom and abundance of Grace my little Angel. Mummy loves you too much”, she wrote.

Ini Edo welcomed her daughter in 2021 through surrogacy. She revealed in an interview that she chose to have her first child through surrogacy to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.
She also added that the eggs used for the surrogacy were hers, making her daughter genetically her blood.
