Tragedy hits Nigerian film industry as fast-rising Yoruba actress, Gbemi Anjola has been reported dead after years of battling with ovarian cancer.
The 33-year-old thespian was said to have died on Friday, 24th of March 2023. According to reports, Anjola had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021. This made her travel to Dubai for chemotherapy, which lasted approximately 6 months.

The actress was said to have been getting better and had been going to locations before Friday when she had complained of memory loss and a headache. She was rushed to the hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a while after.
The news of her tragic demise was shared by colleagues Itele and Zainab Balogun, who mourned her on their Instagram pages.
Other Nollywood stars, including Nkechi Blessing, Kunle Afod, and Biodun Okeowo, have expressed their condolences in the comment section.

Similarly, a pregnant 21-year-old Lady, Precious Leki allegedly drank rat poison because her boyfriend cheated on her. This news came out on social media after one of the lady’s friends released a tribute video to her.
