Veteran Nollywood actor Sam Obiago popularly known as daddy Sam has passed away. The news of the actor’s death was shared by the president of the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas on social media.
The actor had been down with stroke for months now and suffered a relapse overnight. According to one of the colleagues, “He has been ill for a while now. So yesterday he started feeling very ill and he was rushed to the hospital at midnight. He gave up in the early hours of today.”

The actor had starred in over 100 Nollywood movies like Gifted, Tears Of A King, Woman Of Fire, Ghana Island, Royal Turning Point, Royal Appointment, Bargain, etc. Sam Obiago was a regular feature in a lot of Epic Igbo movies playing the role of a chief.
