Nigerians Drag Uriel Oputa For Eating Swallow With Glove

Ex-BBNaija housemate and chef, Uriel Oputa has come under fire for eating swallow with glove.

In a video Uriel posted on her instagram page, the chef is seen eating amala and abula soup (a combination of ewedu and gbegiri) with a nylon glove. Uriel who seemed to be enjoying her meal was seen wearing artificial nails while she ate.

The celebrity cited the reason for her action in a caption she dropped alongside the video.  Uriel explained that she did not want to ruin her newly fixed nail hence wearing nylon glove on her hand.

“I cannot Shout oooo This healthy life thing dey sweet me, I’m wearing gloves to avoid staining my nails.”

Netizens however didn’t take her action likely. They bemoaned her, saying she had disrespected the indigenous Yoruba food.

“And you think this is healthy? Spoon or fork would have been better.” Instagram user Enjay_masseuse wrote.

Similarly, Talented hit maker, Adekunle Gold came out hard on folks who chose to eat rice with fork. In a post on his social media page, the singer made it known that it is illogical to enjoy the cereal with fork. According to him, the food was made to be eaten with spoon and not fork.
