Nigerians Blast The FBI For ‘Racist’ Statement

Nigerians have unleashed their anger on the US’ Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI for a statement it dropped on Twitter in search of 79 cyber fraudsters.
The bureau, in the tweet reeled out a list of Cyber’s Most Wanted, mentioning however, that people help to find the six Nigerians involved in a $6million business​ email ​compromise fraud.
“Help the #FBI find ​six Nigerian nationals wanted for their involvement in ​business​ email ​compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 ​million in losses. Read more about each defendant at http://ow.ly/97Dk50A9Gk8​​, and submit tips at http://tips.fbi.gov“, the tweet reads.

This did not go down well with Nigerians and they asked why the bureau spared the other countries, only to mention Nigeria alone, whereas there are only 6 Nigerians in a list of 79. See some of the reactions here. Photos Credit: Twitter
