Twenty-year-old Nigerian football striker Henry Onyekuru has swapped Belgium for England, joining Premier League giants Everton FC who had to fight off interest from league rivals Arsenal. The player has been in hot demand all summer after ending the season with his previous club Belgian K.A.S Eupen as the highest goalscorer. However to continue his impressive development, it is believed that Everton will be loaning him to another Belgian side Anderlecht for the upcoming season where he can continue to hone his talents away from the pressure and spotlight of the English league. It is a move favoured by most top clubs in Europe where they loan out young players to smaller clubs to develop their skills further for a year or two before returning to their parent club as a more complete player. The exciting forward revealed back in December that he dreamed of playing in England and north London was his ideal destination. Onyekuru said: “I believe I have the level to one day play in the Champions League. The Premier League is my dream league, although I would rather go to Arsenal.”Photo Credit: Getty
