Giant Strides! Nigerian Sprinter, Divine Oduduru Breaks An Athletics Record In The United States

A 21-year-old Nigerian athlete, Divine Oduduru achieved an international milestone on Saturday, as he broke the 14-year Texas Tech 100m record at the Michael Johnson Invitational in the United States.
Divine, who represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games two-years ago, is on scholarship in the United States. He broke the record by running a personal best time of 10.10s to emerge winner in the 100m invitational event.
Divine’s record bested the previous recorded at the event held by Tyree Gailes when he ran a time of 10.11s at the 2004 Outdoor National Championships. Divine also finished second in the 4x400m relay race at the same event.
