Being a mother is a thing of joy when there is a father figure also present, but when the male figure is absent and the onus of playing both roles falls just on the mother it becomes quite a burdensome journey. Irrespective of how burdensome this journey might prove to be is, a lot of women have defied the odds and taken up this role heads on of making themselves a model of a single mother.

With a look at the Nigerian entertainment industry, the industry is blessed with a raft of talented women who have found some way to manage their hectic work life and yet still function as a single mum despite being in the face of the public living through constant public scrutiny.
