Nigerian-born New Zealand fighter is a professional mixed Martial artist based in Auckland, astute in both kickboxing and as an orthodox boxer born on the 22nd of July 1989. He is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as the UFC Middleweight Champion of the world.

In kickboxing, he is the former Glory middleweight contender winner and King in the Ring two-time cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, which is the most titles in King in the Ring history. As of 27 January 2020, he is #6 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Isreal Adesanya has been on a steady climb and remains undefeated as an MMA fighter, with his latest victory against Yoel Romero making it 19-0.

Nigeria at momently have a raft of talented fighters making the country proud different fighting scenes across the world from the most popular Sagamu boy Anthony Joshua who is the Heavyweight champion of the World in Boxing who has 4 titled belts to his name, to Usman Kamaru the Nigerian Nightmare, to the little known Efe Ajagba, this probably the only time in history with so many international fighter and names are synonymous with Nigeria.
