Nigerian Army Begins Withdrawal From Abia State As Python Dance Comes To An End

After declaring victory over the alleged terrorist group on the 22nd of September, The Nigerian army has started making plans to withdraw soldiers from the streets of Abia. According to reports by the News Agency of Nigeria, The withdrawal process started on Monday with the removal of all military checkpoints in Umuahia and some checkpoints on interstate roads.Commercial life also resumed on Monday as all markets in the city sprung back to life after the three-day dawn-dusk curfew expired.
The Nigerian Army launched an advanced military approach called “Operation Python Dance” in Abia state on the 15th of September after reports emerged that the IPOB group were introducing a violent approach to their agitation.
