The Official Spokesperson to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Garba Shehu has patted the Buhari-led administration on the back for its response to the security issues in the nation, noting that Nigeria is not the only nation with security challenges.
Garba Shehu said this during his appearance on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily today, when asked if the government is happy with its response to the security issues in the nation.
“The Government is absolutely happy. The President has said times without number that his expectations are still to be met, which means we are not exactly where we wish to be. However, a fair judgment that can be made of the ongoing efforts of the administration is to judge it by the responses that it makes when challenges of security nature emerge. “The thing then to do is “how do you respond?”, and yes, the present administration has responded with capacity and competence using available resources and demand power, and all of the limitations that come with that. Can we get better? We hope we’ll continue to improve, but given the resources available, given the size of the problem, the government is showing the capacity to cope, and we hope that we continue to get better”, he concluded.
