Nigeria Had A 3% Increase In Access To Water Supply Between 2015 And 2019 – Osinbajo

Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, has reportedly witnessed an increase of 3 per cent in the access to water supply in the space of four years, between 2015 and 2019.
This was made known at the 4th NEC meeting of the year, where the State Governors, the Ministers, the Central Bank Governor and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo deliberated on pertinent issues affecting Nigerians across the country.Nigeria Had A 3% Increase In Access To Water Supply Between 2015 And 2019 - Osinbajo
Giving an update in a series of tweets, VP Osinbajo, who affirmed the Finance Minister’s stance that the news of additional 60bn naira printed back in March 2020 was false, noted that a report presented at the meeting showcased the increase.
“A presentation showcasing the current status of water, sanitation, and hygiene in the country as revealed by the 2019 WASH National Outcome Routine Mapping (WASH-NORM II) survey showed a 3% increase in access to water supply between 2015 – 2019”, he tweeted.Nigeria Had A 3% Increase In Access To Water Supply Between 2015 And 2019 - Osinbajo
VP Osinbajo noted further in his tweets that some other presentations were also made by the Ministers of Budget and National Planning, Aviation, and the Minister of Transport, each highlighting the impediments and successes in their ministries. Osinbajo, who chaired the meeting,  then said the presentations were welcomed and the council is working towards long lasting solutions to the issues raised.
