Nigeria 0-0 Rwanda: Super Eagles Kick Off CHAN Campaign With A Poor Performance

Nigerians were forced to endure a below par performance by the Eagles on Monday, as the Super Eagles settled for a 0-0 draw against Rwanda in their African Nations Championship group C clash.
The Eagles missed the chance to kick start the African Nations Championship on a high tone, as their lackluster performance limited them to a goalless draw. The closest Nigeria came to scoring was when Rabiu Ali and Sunday Faleye both struck the woodwork. But to be sincere, Team Nigeria’s performance never deserved either of the goals.
Despite combining to produce 24 shots between them, the nations ended the tie at Stade Ibn Batouta, Tangier ended on a no winner, no vanquished state.
Though the Super Eagles controlled the pace of the game for a long period of time, they struggled to convert many clear-cut opportunities. Nigeria will face Libya on the 23rd of January for the second fixture of their group.
