Popular reality star, Vee Iye stated that Nigerian men are far more extravagant in their spending on a date compared to their counterparts in the UK.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate made this known in a podcast show while speaking about her dating experience.

Vee who was born and brought up in the UK, revealed that he dating experience started when she was 23 years old.
According to her, Englishmen are nice but don’t spend as much as Nigerian men do in a relationship.
She cited an example about going on a date, while a Nigerian man knows he has to foot the bill for the date, UK men share dating bills 50:50 with their date.

Vee explained further that this doesn’t indicate that men in the UK are stingy, it is rather part of the country’s culture of equality between men and women.
“Obviously, Lagos men spend more than UK guys. UK guys are not stingy, I think culture enables women to have their way. If I go on a date with a guy, we are both going fifty-fifty.”
