2 of the parents of the abducted 136 students of Salihu Tanko Islamic School in Niger State have reportedly died of shock as others lament that they have not heard from the Government since. the kids were kidnapped.
Recall that unknown gunmen had launched an attack on Tegina town which houses the school in the North Central State, carting away with the students on the night of Sunday 31st May.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Ketso, had given an update on the situation at the Government House, Minna, on Wednesday, disclosing that the government is in talks with the abductors, not about the payment of ransom but on how to secure the release of the pupils unhurt.

In an interview with Arise TV, however, the Headmaster of school from which the students were abducted said two of them had died out of shock of the incident. According to him, one of the parents was not around when the incident occurred and on getting back to hear the news, she fainted and passed on from there. He further said the Government has not reached out to them.
