NFF Must Pay Outstanding Fees – Genrot Rohr

Former super eagles coach and German tactician, Genrot Rohr in an interview with reporters disclosed that the Nigerian Football Federation will have to pay him his outstanding fees with interest alongside current dollar rate.

The Franco/German coach was outraged that despite the gentleman agreement with the glass house, they are yet to pay him his salary since last year december.

Rohr was relieved of his duties last year after a string of disappointing results and underwhelming performances.

Despite efforts by the football federation to him until the end of his contract, which should have expired in December, the coach took the case to world football body FIFA, demanding the football federation pay him an additional £1m for breach of contract “without just cause” but FIFA instead approved $377,879.46 (N155m as of December 2021, which is currently valued at #157m.

A ruling by the world governing body players’ status chamber in May directed the NFF to pay Rohr the money within 45 days, after ending his contract midway, while also adding that they will not magnanimous in wielding the axe, should the federation refuse to pay him within the stipulated period.
