Neymar Is Technically Better Than Messi And Ronaldo – Cafu

Brazilian World Cup-winning captain and record-holder for the highest appearance at the World Cup, Cafu has sensationally claimed that his compatriot and PSG forward Neymar Jr is a better player ‘technically” than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo Messi Neymar Jr

The legendary Brazilian defender added that the only reason why Neymar Jr hasn’t reached his full potential is because he hasn’t fully dedicated himself to the game 100 per cent and needs to improve on becoming a leader in the game for both the club and for the national team.

Neymar Jr is widely considered one of the best footballers of his generation, but always with the caveat that he like other great players current of this generation are all outside the or a couple of levels below Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who in between themselves have 11 Ballon d’Or titles and both are even regarded as the two greatest of all time.

But former AC Milan right-back Cafu insisted that Neymar Jr is the best of the three.

“Neymar is technically better than Messi, better than Cristiano Ronaldo, but he must assume the responsibility of a leader,” Cafu told Marca.

“One must dedicate themselves 100 per cent to football. I’m not better than Neymar, but I am better than other right-backs because I dedicated myself to that.
“He (Neymar) has to become a captain.”

Neymar’s antics off the pitch have been generally cited as to why he has not yet reached the pinnacle of world football, perhaps informing Cafu’s comments around leadership.

Indeed, Messi himself has made no secret of his admiration for Neymar and his huge disappointment when the Brazilian swapped Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain. The pair have reunited at PSG in no small part due to Neymar Jr convincing Messi to re-join him once he could not stay at Barca.
