Pro-wrestler Stephanie McMahon has revealed the one person she wants to see in the WWE ring – tennis megastar Serena Williams. The sport wants more high profile names to sign up following the success of Ronda Rousey.
The 37-year-old sporting great has rarely hid from a challenge in her life on or off the court. Serena has been invited by the daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon to show what she’s all about. Speaking at WWE’s New York office, McMahon said: “Serena! I want Serena. She’s awesome. “The women have started stealing the show and that’s when our audience started chanting ‘this is wrestling’ and that’s what really gave rise to the ‘give women a chance’ movement. Our fans are empowered because they know they have a voice and they make things happen.”
