Revealed! Here’s Why Wizkid Delayed Release Of Gucci Snake With Slimcase!

Fans continue to anticipate “Gucci Snake” release as Wizkid and Slimcase struggle to pick a perfect date since April.

Wizkid and Slimcase first teased their music collaboration, “Gucci Snake”, in April with the release of the song artwork, and they’ve reportedly shot a video for it. The new song produced by Killertunes is the first studio work featuring both artistes, who have maintained close relationship since they first met in February.

“Gucci Snake” was expected to drop after Starboy producer, MUT4Y dropped his much anticipated single “Commando” on April 13, featuring Wizkid and Ceeza Milli. But that buzz was followed with three surprise tracks by Wizkid (“Lagos Vibes”, “Aphrodisiac” and “Highgrade” featuring Ty Dolla $ign) which led to the postponement of Slimcase collaboration after considering the timing.

Following the busy week in April, Wizkid’s first 2018 song “Soco”, which was released in February resurfaced, topping both local and global charts and the followed by “Fake Love” with Duncan Mighty. “Soco” which is off Wizkid’s forthcoming “Made In Lagos” EP, featured Ceeza Milli, Spotless and Starboy new signee, Terri.

In case you missed it, Wizkid recently returned to Nigeria to celebrate his mother’s birthday, after over one month of successful shows abroad; including the historic 02 Arena concert, Dolce & Gabbana Milan show with Naomi Campbell, and the 2018 Ghana meets Naija concert, where he reconciled with Shatta Wale.

Then on Friday night, Wizkid took to Twitter to promote his featured song with Ivorian singer Afro B, titled “Drogba”, before teasing “Gucci Snake” for the umpteenth time, and we could hear the fans screaming “GIVE US THE SOUND STARBOY!!”
