Opportunity of A Lifetime! Kevin Hart On Hosting 91st Oscars Ceremony

It is truly a privilege to host the Academy Awards ceremony for artistic and technical merit in the film industry, and Kevin Hart is the next in line. The actor and comedian will take over from hosting duties from Jimmy Kimmel, who presented the awards in 2017 and 2018. Confirming his appointment on Instagram, Kevin wrote: “I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars. I am blown away simply because this has been a goal on my list for a long time. Being chosen to host the oscars is something he described an opportunity of a lifetime! “To be able to join the legendary list of hosts that have graced that stage is unbelievable. I know my mom is smiling from ear to ear right now,” Kevin added. After he thanked his family, friends and fans for their support, Kevin signed off his post by promising to “rise to the occasion” and make the ceremony “a special one”. The Oscars, which are 24 awards, are given annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership.Photo Credit: Getty
