The New York Fashion Week spring 2019 is finally here!

After series of preparations and last-minute details, the NYFW S/S 2019 is finally here and the city is set to host over 100 collection presentations from various designers according to the schedule. The Opening shows would be headlined by Calvin Klein And Tom Ford. The Council Of fashion Designers Of America Inc,(CDFA) has deliberately trimmed the events on the calendar to accommodate the other fashion weeks to be held in London, Milan and Paris respectively. This was done in order to allow reduce the “Sheer Exhaustion” of having fashion editors and buyers travel from one destination to another in a very short time as the shows will taking be place through the month of September, with each kicking off immediately after the last. Most designers are gradually making a come back to the New York Fashion Week, after all the action was taken to the Paris shows in previous times.
Rihanna is also set to close the New York fashion week on the 12th shortly after the Marc Jacob’s show with her presentation of her lingerie; Savage/Fenty launched about 2 months ago. This year, in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) fashionista and celebrities would be expected to wear a blue ribbon with the NYFW initials on it, in line with the political messaging that underlies the program. The first show of the Fashion week is set to start by 10:00am, on Thursday 6th Of September.
