Eden Hazard praises Kylian Mbappe ahead of their semifinal match clash!
Belgium captain Eden Hazard says France and PSG forward Kylian Mbappe deserves to win the Ballon d’Or, as their countries prepare to go into the 2018 World Cup semifinal on Tuesday night in Saint Petersburg. “Based on what he is showing, obviously there is Ballon d’Or capacity, in terms of potential, as well as quality, for me, yes, he already deserves the Ballon d’Or,” Hazard told beIN Sports.
The Chelsea star further revealed that Mbappe once told him that he watched his videos when he was younger, but is now a reversal of roles. “We have spoken a few times over the phone,” the Belgium skipper continued. “Kylian told me that he watched my videos when he was younger. I am not sure if I pass for an old guy, but… I am not too old.
“Now, it is me watching his videos from time to time, and I have a lot of respect for him and what he is doing. We have never seen this (quick development) in modern football.” Mbappe and Griezmann are currently France’s top scorers at the World Cup with three goals each.
