“It’s Time For Myself, Obasanjo And Buhari To Allow A Younger Generation To Lead” – Babangida

Former Military Head-of-State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda has urged the older generation of Nigerian politicians including the current President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to leave all leadership related affairs for the younger generation to take over.
Speaking in an interview with Moses Siloko Siasia, the leader of the New Nigeria political movement, Babangida urged the old politicians who have turned themselves to political idols in the country to step aside, so as to give a younger generation the chance to rule.
Babangida said: “Some of us assumed leadership at a very young age. The older generation must give way for the new one. We have become analogue but this is a digital age; so the young people should be supported to use their digital knowledge to move the country forward.”
Babangida has severally stated that he is no longer interested in holding any political office in the country. Hopefully other big-wigs will also step aside, so as to usher the nation into a new generation of leaders.
