If You Date Or Sleep With A Rich Man For Money, You Are A Prostitute – Sex Worker

A sex worker has claimed that girls that sleeps with men for money are exactly the same as prostitutes, and says her current job is much safer than meeting wealthy men on dating sites. Lana West, 25, works at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Nevada, earning up to £21,350-a-month ($30,000) – but insists her job is more about forming relationships than just having sex. The former sales and marketing worker, from LA, says people need to stop sugar coating sugar dating – and admit what it really is.Before quitting her day job, Lana was a Sugar Baby, from September 2016, and raked in around £28,500 ($40,000) in just five months – as well as travelling to Miami, New York and Chicago. She dated around 40 guys aged between 35 and 60, and the Sugar Daddies treated her to fancy dinners, new clothes and even a car – as well as offering to pay her rent and handing her wads of cash, often in exchange for sex. Lana said: “Why hide who you are? When you’re being a Sugar Baby, it’s just a euphemism. You are a prostitute and you’re just calling it something else.”When Lana first signed up as a Sugar Baby, she thought it would be just like any other dating site – and was shocked by requests to meet men at their hotels. She said: “My friend said I should join a Sugar Baby site, because that’s where the most quality guys are, and I found a whole new world. It felt demure and exciting, I was treated well. Sometimes we would just meet in hotels – and if we got along, we would have sex and then I would get money for it. But I expected something quite different. I would be invited to a hotel and I would say ‘excuse me? Is that an appropriate place for a date? I thought that I could meet a quality guy, the money was a secondary thing. I thought I could meet a guy that’s successful, that was serious, who valued my personality. Prostitution is great, I don’t have a problem with it. What I have a problem with is a Sugar Baby site which masquerades as this dating site but it’s really not. It’s really an avenue for prostitution. If I made $28,500 and I wasn’t even trying, there must be millions going through these sites all the time.” So what’s her message to wannabe Sugar Babies, who think they can avoid having a sexual relationship? Lana said: “I would say end of story, that if someone is paying you, they are paying you for a good time. If you’re looking to find that financial aspect, you’re not going to find what you’re looking for if you don’t want to have sex, because that’s what it’s about. The world is ruled by money, and everything is always an exchange.” In January 2017, Lana decided to become a legal prostitute – while studying for a bachelors degree in business administration, totally debt free. She said: “I would say it’s really silly (to judge). We’re in 2018, it’s very mainstream. I had a lot of friends where I didn’t mean for them to find out, but in the end it’s not a big deal. I’m hitting goals and I’m doing school work and I’m happy. So people should just mind their own business or they should accept it, because it’s really not a big deal. My family found out and they are not happy, they don’t like it. My dad isn’t speaking to me, my sister just sent me a Facebook message saying that she was worried about me, but I said, ‘Hey actually I’m fine’. My mum still talks to me but she’s not happy about it. And they are not religious people, so it was very surprising to me that they were so unhappy. But I’ll go with my life. People can say that Bunny Ranch is all about sex, but it’s really not – 95 per cent of what I do is about maintaining relationships with other people and forming conversation. I would say when I was a Sugar Baby, more my job was sex!” Lana also insists that legal prostitution is much safer than being a Sugar Baby, adding: “That’s one of the reasons I decided to uproot my life and come to Bunny Ranch. The law is behind you and if a guy is giving you trouble you can say, ‘Hey, this is the law’. I go on many out dates at Bunny Ranch, overnights, weekends, and the whole time my staff knows exactly where I am. They’ve got his licence plate, his ID, phone number, I know that nothing bad is going to happen to me. I feel very safe and secure.”Photo Credit: Getty
