Tottenham forward, Harry Kane has congratulated his golden boot rival, Mohamed Salah on winning the Premier League Golden Boot after the Liverpool forward created a new EPL record for most goals in a 38-game season.
Harry Kane had been the league’s top scorer in both the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, but, despite his prolific form this season, he still fell two goals short of Salah’s 32-goal spree. Kane displayed true sportsmanship towards Salah, as he revealed that Salah’s goalscoring feats will propel him to get even better.
Speaking in a press conference, Kane said: “It’s good to have competition and it’s great for the Premier League to have two players at the 30-goal mark. For me, it was a target to improve on last year, when I got 29, and it was nice to get to that 30-goal mark.”
