Ekiti State Appeal Court Freeze Governor Fayose’s Account

The Court of Appeal sitting in Ado Ekiti has directed the freezing of the account of the Ekiti state governor, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, after the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a motion for his account to be frozen.
The state court allowed the appeal filed by the EFCC against the judgment of Justice Taiwo. O Taiwo of Federal High Court, in Ado Ekiti division.
The EFCC have repeatedly tried to halt the financial transactions of the state governor, after he was mentioned in several fraud charges levied against many top politicians connected to the leadership of the former administration.
