The dreaded Boko Haram insurgent group killed not less than 31 people in a twin suicide bomb attack in Damboa town, Borno state on Saturday evening.
The gruesome attack seemed to be targeting people returning from the Eid Mubarak celebrations over the weekend.

After the deadly bombings, the insurgent group fired grenades into the crowds that had gathered at the scene to rescue victims, hence, blowing the number of casualties over the roof.
A local vigilante, Babakura Kolo, confirmed the deadly attack to Punch. He said: “There were two suicide attacks and rocket-propelled grenade explosions in Damboa last night which killed 31 people and left several others injured. No one needs to be told this is the work of Boko Haram.”

The Boko Haram terrorist group have continually plagued the North Eastern part of the country with explosions and daring daylight attacks despite the intensified efforts of the Nigerian Army to flush them out of all corners of the country.
