Nemanja Vidic is currently considering an offer to coach Manchester United’s Under-23s.
The 37-year-old spent nine seasons at Old Trafford as a player, winning five Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup. Vidic has completed his coaching badges and obtained his UEFA Pro Licence in January 2018 but the former centre-back remains without a club.
But the Serb now has the chance to return to his former side after Ricky Sbragia left his position with United’s Under-23 team at the end of May.
‘He got an offer to coach Manchester United’s Under-23s,’ Vidic’s close friend, Nenad Lalatovic, said in an interview. I told him that’s perfect for him if he wants to coach but he hasn’t decided yet. Vida is in Milan, still thinking whether he’ll be a coach. I told him, ‘It’s a perfect chance to return to England, one day you’ll take over Manchester. You’re world’s best ever defender. I’m cheering for him to accept the offer, then one day return Manchester United where they should be.’Photo Credit: Getty
