A non-medical employee nor health worker of the NCDC, a driver has tested positive for the deadly novel Coronavirus in Nasarawa State.
The State Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, made the disclosure during the State expanded Security meeting at the State capital today May 5th.
According to the Governor, the non-medical staff who contracted the deadly COVID-19 virus is a driver of the NCDC, who resides in Ado in Karu Local Government Area of the state, who one of his jobs was to transport samples for the agency in Abuja who got exposed during his process of transporting samples. He was declared positive this morning and has been moved to the Isolation centre in the State at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi.
Nasarawa State has 11 confirmed cases of the viral disease.
