Naira Marley’s trial at the Federal High Court in Lagos has been adjourned till December 11th and 12th after lawyers got into a heated argument over space to seat in the court.
The trial had resumed for hearing this morning but unfortunately, the lawyer representing the anti-graft commission EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo, Naira Marley’s counsel, Olalekan Ojo, SAN, and two other senior lawyers began to quarrel over seats available in the court just as the judge settled in to hear the case. This is due to the inadequate space in the courtroom and the very small spaces of the courtroom. The presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo then appealed to the lawyers to bear with the government over inadequacy, while adjourning the case immediately.
