Queen Aanu an estranged wife of the Alaafin of Oyo has cried out alleging death threats over her life after she left her marriage and the palace. The wife of the monarch took to her Instagram page to share an official statement.
According to Aanu, she took the decision to walk out of the marriage as she couldn’t continue to live in bondage. She said that since she moved out of the palace, her life has been under serious threat. She said she recently survived a failed attempt to kidnap her and threats have been made to her family. She cried out to the public to hold the monarch responsible should anything happen to her or her children.
