Afrobeats singer Ruger has released the deluxe of his Second Wave EP and fans are over the moon.ruger

The deluxe was released today Friday, the 17th June 2022, and it has three new singles: ‘WeWe,’ ‘Girlfriend,’ and ‘Warning’. So far, Second Wave gained popularity with Dior and Snapchat and seeing a deluxe now, everyone is eager to know the changes made. So, lets dive into it; The first track that starts this musical journey is Champion and it has the beat to boot. It is now an established fact that Ruger adopts a reggae-like form of delivery when it comes to lyrics and that is evident on this body of work. Here, he speaks about how no one can take his place as he is here to stay as the champion that he is. Light is being shed on his rise from the bottom to the top.

This track possesses a melodic sound that comes across as soothing. Useless starts with a jivy upbeat that will definitely have you nodding your head back and forth. He speaks about his love interest and how her body has gotten him to surrender. By so doing, she has rendered him useless. We have no words for Snapchat and Dior because they will always be hit singles any day and time.

Now to the one of the three tracks that makes this deluxe EP, Girlfriend possesses a dancehall-like vibe as he speaks about his latest love interest. The instrumentation doesn’t sound new, but rather sounds like what a Ruger will drop. Wewe is much better as it tolls that same dancehall-like vibe on afrobeat beats, and it promises to be a hit single big time. Warning is typical Ruger style.Final Thoughts
Ruger’s Second Wave EP deluxe doesn’t fall short of expectation, but he definitely can deliver more. This body of work gets a 6/10. Well done. Listen to the EP here;
