Musa Wada Emerges PDP’s Flagbearer In Kogi State’s Gov Election

Musa Wada has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for the governorship election in Kogi state after defeating his older brother Capt. Idris Wada and 10 other candidates in the primary election.

Musa polled 748 votes to defeat his closest opponent Abubakar Mohammed Ibrahim, the son of former governor Ibrahim Idris (Ibro) who polled 710 votes.

The PDP flagbearer’s brother and immediate past governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada came third with 345 votes while Senator Dino Melaye polled 70 votes to emerge fourth. Other candidates that participated in the primary election included Aminu Suleiman- 55 votes, Victor Adoji-54, Erico Joseph- 42, AVM Saliu Atawodi (retd.)- 11, Emmanuel Omebije- 9 votes, Mohammed Shuaibu- 4 votes, Bayo Michael- 2 votes and Jabiru Haruna- 0.
