The former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II via a statement released this afternoon by his son Ashraf has tested negative along with his wives for the deadly novel Coronavirus.
In the statement, Ashraf said the family had received many calls by well-wishers and alikes that the dethroned Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II should get tested after coming in close contact to people who had recently tested positive to the deadly novel COVID-19 virus.
It’s of known fact to the public that the former monarch was visited during his exile in Nasarawa by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State and after his release from detainment by the Court also in Lagos State. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has since tested positive for the virus on Friday.
Ashraf in the statement said his family appreciates the concerns of everyone. He said his father has had the Coronavirus test and it came out negative.
