Movie Review: Meet The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind

Africa as a continent is believed to be technologically backward, with our poor educational system, not a lot is expected from our children. But over the years we have seen African children debunk this notion as they have gone to do extraordinary things despite the circumstances they found themselves in. One is this cases is that of William Kamkwamba whose life is what the Netflix movie, ‘The boy who harnessed the wind’ is based on, it captures perfectly the struggle and life of 13 year old William Kamkwamba, a boy who after being kicked out of school because of his parents inability to pay his school fees, developed a windmill to save his village from the sufferings of famine. The emotions of the movie is top notch and its very important for the African pride and community, we have to change the narrative. I give the move a 9/10.
