From the opening scene in the first episode, we get that chilly feel of what to expect in the entire series. But what makes this short series different is that even when you know what is going to happen, you still anticipate how it will happen.
Looking at the characterization of the entire series, it deserves an applaud. The 5-man cast film hit the nail on the head in terms of role portrayal. The character of Bola which was played by Roseline Afije takes the caps. She totally did a fantastic job in portraying the intent of the director and the character.
Coming to the musicality of the entire film, the music dug the message deeper into our minds. So on point. Clarence Peter ensured to make use of not just the regular sound used in horror movies but a distinct sound that sets the mood from the beginning to the end of the series.
The physic and costumes gave us an idea of the personality of each student played by the five-man cast. Not leaving the makeup out, especially on the female characters was well applied.
Final Thoughts
Clarence Peters Hex is the perfect Nigerian horror short series to watch, as it presents a beautiful way of how acting, directing and cinematography can be on another level. Just as he kills it in his fortail of music video directing his first attempt at movie production is off the chains. We give him double thumbs up and a standing ovation for this.
