Moses Simon Has Been Ruled Out Of Nigeria’s World Cup Squad

Nigeria’s promising world-cup hopes suffered a devastating setback on Monday as Gernot Rohr confirmed that Super Eagles forward, Moses Simon has been ruled out of the world cup tournament.
The goal poacher limped out of the Super Eagles’ training session on Thursday afternoon after sustaining a thigh injury.
A scan confirmed Nigeria’s fears as the 22-year-old forward was ruled out for at least one month. Confirming the injury on Monday, Rohr said: “Yes, Moses is injured and our medical staff told me he is out for at least three or four weeks. This is a confirmation that he will not be with us for the World Cup. This is unfortunate because he was an important player for us during our qualification matches.”
