Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state today revealed to the residents of the state to expect more cases of the novel coronavirus in the state. The state governor said the increase will occur following the increase in the number of testing in the state.
Willie Obiano disclosed that the state was planning to increase testing capacity after the commissioning of the mega laboratory at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka. He said the mega lab will be able to test 470 samples for COVID-19 simultaneously, thereby increasing the detection rate in the state. He assured residents that the state was more than capable to handle the spike in COVID-19 cases.
