He might not have won the most awards, but he seem he was the biggest winner at the Just concluded Headies Awards. Falz whose full name is Folarin Falana born (1991) is a certified Barrister, he is Our MCM today. 
Falz’s most recent album Moral Instruction which he used to address some societal issues and ills in the society, became the fourth rap album to win Album of the Year at the Headies. Say what you want, but it deserves it Of the nominated albums, it is better produced with the best themes and it is a more enjoyable listen.
Falz’s Moral Instruction is the only one of the nominated albums that ticks all boxes of overall quality, good production, content, commercial success and genuine impact. That is not cheap. It’s not about rappity-rap. What does your rap do? Who is listening? How accessible is this rap?

Look no further than when the silence was deafening, with no cheer from the fans as some of our favourite rappers were called out by name. A lot of people don’t know them, but Falz to have transcended that into a space of accessibility to the mainstream. That is why he is more popular. That’s why he gets the cheers.
Falz knows that he has quite a huge audience and a reach that no other mainstream rapper as at the moment and he as decided to use it to speak for the people, he is using his music to create and ask for a conscious change in the country. At the tail end of his third acceptance speech, Falz called for the release of Omoyele Sowore the Convener and leader of the #RevolutionNow Movement.
Is he the best rapper? No. But does he make the most appealing music? Definitely.
Is a Wizkid or Davido? NO. But he is definitely using his music to call for development and change in his father’s land. #FreeSowore
