American music star, Miley Cyrus who recently split from her long-time lover, Liam Hemsworth gave the crowd more than they bargained for as she performs her break up track.
The star performed at the 2019 MTV VMAs which held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Monday night, August 26 and it was her first big appearance after her split from Liam. Miley performed her new song, Slide Away at the event. 
The 26-year old rocked a little black sleeveless dress where she unveiled her tattoo on her inner left arm. The tattoo was a reference to her break up from him which reads: “My head was feeling scared, but My heart was feeling free.” This curious wordings on Miley’s arm seems to have been gotten from the Pixies’ song The Thing. The lyrics from Miley’s new song goes, “Move on, we’re not 17 / I’m not who I used to be… You say that everything changed / You’re right, we’re grown now.”

Before the performance, the wrecking ball star was seen with her new girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter, who she was seen kissing at a romantic Italian vacation after split from her husband. Interestingly, the pair also locked lips at the VMAs backstage as they skipped the red carpet and sitting with the audience. 
Recall that we earlier reported that Miley was accused of cheating on Liam since her and Kaitlynn ran the same circles before the breakup. The Bangerz star, however, denied the rumour saying she is many things but not a cheater. She went on to say that she would always love Liam but it seems they now want different things from life.
