In what many might see as the end to the GOAT debate, Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi will out of world football, as a world cup winner, and has finally wrapped his hand around the one trophy that has eluded him throughout his glittering career.
Messi started his career as a student of the popular Barcelona La Masia academy and shot into global dominance at the 2005 World Youth championship, where he won the golden ball, and the trophy.
After the diminutive player showed his face to the world, he did not stop, nor looked back. Alongside his ever-available ally, Angel Di Maria, Messi went on to win the 2008 Olympic gold for his country and was already in contention to replace the great Diego Armando Maradona, as the new darling of Argentines.
After a heap of medals at the club level, Messi was short of two trophies, the Copa America, and the world cup. Lionel broke the Copa America jinx in 2021, and in 2022, ended the comparison with eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo, by winning the world cup.

Although many fans will argue, but most football world will conclude that Lionel Messi, today became the undisputed football GOAT.
