Men In Suits! Ronaldo & Team-mates Meet Portugal’s President Ahead Of World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal teammates have met with the country’s president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, before departing for the 2018 World Cup.

Portugal are the defending European champions and have been drawn into Group B in Russia, alongside Spain, Morocco and Iran. Portugal had struggled to get a win against Belgium (0-0) and Tunisia (2-2), and the team managed by Fernando Santos will face Algeria in Lisbon on Thursday in their final warm-up friendly match.

Ricardo Pereira, Pepe, Quaresma, Ronaldo and Jose Fonte were all in attendance as the squad were greeted by Sousa at the National Coach Museum in their country’s capital, Lisbon. Ronaldo who has  scored 81 times for his country (three times at World Cups) shook hands with Sousa and delivered a speech as he addressed the rest of his Portugal squad. France, Nigeria and Argentina were also greeted by their presidents ahead of the 2018 World Cup next week.
