Simon Cowell got more than he bargained for after making a cheeky quip about Mel B‘s marriage on America’s Got Talent. Drama started when an escape artist Demian Aditya performed his act at the ongoing America’s Got Talent show, and Simon shared his critique, saying, “I kind of think it will be like Mel B’s wedding night,” he shared. “A lot of anticipation, not much promise.”
This pissed off the Spice Girl, who is still enduring a nasty divorce proceeding, because before Simon could even finish his talking, she grabbed her Dunkin Donuts mug and bathed him with the drink. It has been an emotional period for Mel B. Only weeks ago, a judge ordered her to pay her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, $40,000 per month in temporary spousal support after the ex-Spice Girl filed for dissolution of her marriage to the Hollywood producer. And last week, Belafonte filed for the custody of her child with actor Eddie Murphy.
This wasn’t a good time to make insensitive jokes about her wedding night since the marriage already failed and she is enduring a nasty divorce. Her rash reaction is quiet understood by her fans.
