Meet Skepta, The Nigerian Rapper Dating Supermodel Naomi Campbell

Following the confirmation of their relationship by posing naked for GQ Magazine together, Skepta and evergreen supermodel Naomi Campbell are the hottest property in town. Almost everyone knows the age-defying supermodel, so who is the Nigerian guy currently dating Naomi.Simply, Skepta is in his prime and he makes grime. Describing himself not as a rapper, but an activist, Skepta has spawned several hits including That’s Not Me, Man and Shut Down. In 2016 he won the Mercury Prize for his album Konnichiwa. Skepta won the Mercury Music Prize in 2016. The artist’s real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga, he’s 35 and he was born in Tottenham, London. In fact he’s pals with Adele, who’s also from Tottenham. The eldest of four siblings, Skepta has a famous brother who is also a rapper called Jme, and his sister Julie is a radio presenter. BTS’ J-Hope finally releases solo mixtape and fans are not handling it.

Their parents were immigrants from Nigeria and they grew up on a council estate. Along with Jme and Joseph Bamber, Skepta formed label and rap outfit Boy Better Know in 2006 after his previous crews Meridian Crew and Roll Deep disbanded. Skepta made his name through a rap battle with Seagar, a prominent grime artist, and then he released his ironically-titled debut album Greatest Hits in 2007. From there he had minor hits with Rolex Sweep and Too Many Man, then more successful hits Rescue Me and Hello Good Morning.In 2014 Skepta provided a verse for Meridian Dan’s megahit German Whip and two years on the rapper had major success with his fourth album Konnichiwa.In the same year, 2016, he was also blocked from flying to the United States when his visa was declined – but in 2017 his success meant he toured the States and played Coachella. Fans are now waiting to hear his hotly-anticipated collaboration with Goldie which was confirmed last year.

Way back in June 2017, Skepta had admitted that the fashion icon was his ‘favourite cover girl’ and gushed that ‘she broke down boundaries by doing those early Vogue covers’. This sparked months of speculation that they were an item.
