Elizaveta Krivonogikh, more commonly known as Luiza Rozova, was ‘outed’ as the war leader’s illegitimate daughter by a Russian press outlet last year.
The 18-year-old, from St Petersburg, shut down her Instagram account this week after she was inundated with online abuse.
But just who is the teenage socialite?
Luiza’s mum is Svetlana Krivonogikh, who was romantically linked to Putin in the late nineties and early noughties.
Svetlana started life as a cleaner before working her way up to becoming one of the country’s wealthiest women.
The 45-year-old millionaire attended the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance.
In 2021 Svetlana’s name – and more crucially her overseas assets – became more widely known in connection with the Pandora Papers.
Svetlana controls a Monaco property through two Panamanian shell companies which, in turn, control a third firm in Tortola, in the Virgin Islands.

Russian media outlet Proekt – branded an ‘undesirable organisation’ by Putin – once went as far as to hire a computing expert to compare Luiza’s face to that of her alleged dad.
Professor Hassan Ugail, from Bradford University in the UK, said the teenager had a a facial similarity of 70.44% to Putin.
Putin’s relationship to Svetlana supposedly ended around when he first was linked to Olympic gold medal winning gymnast Alina Kabaeva.
Since Luiza’s name and possible connection to Putin was published last year, her social media following grew by thousands.
The teenager would travel by business jet between Russia, Monaco and Paris at any given moment.
She had her own fashion line by the age of 18 and had also become in demand as a DJ.
Her brand was said to promote ‘amateur clothes for every day’.
She was spotted in a ‘government’ BMW 7 at her own 18th birthday at a trendy Moscow club.
The car had previously been assigned to the country’s culture minister.
Before shutting her account, Luiza had 84,000 followers.
She had posted regularly to her account up until October 1.
Her last photo posted to Instagram had been of a foot poking out from beneath a duvet, with a laptop below it.
Luiza would routinely make an effort to hide or obscure her face where possible, suggesting she did not want her identity known.
She hadn’t posted in five months prior to this week – prompting speculation she had been ‘gagged’ by her suspected dad.
Now a message simply reads in Russian ‘user not found’ when her former profile is searched.
Putin is notoriously private, keeping details about his family close to his chest.
He has previously said: ‘I have a private life in which I do not permit interference. It must be respected.’
He also deplored ‘those who with their snotty noses and erotic fantasies prowl into others’ lives’.
But it is public knowledge that he shares two daughters with ex-wife Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Ocheretnaya – 36-year-old Maria Faassen and 35-year-old Katerina Tikhonova.
Maria went to a Moscow medical school and became a peadiatric endocrinologist, and then one of Russia’s top experts on dwarfism.
She has one child with her husband, Dutch businessman Jorrit Faassen.
Meanwhile Katerina is a director for the Institute for Mathematical Research of Complex Systems at Moscow State University.
But she is more widely known in Russia for her success as a dancer.
For several years, she also served as the vice president for expansion and marketing at the World Rock and Roll Confederation.
There has also been public speculation that Putin shares children with a Russian Olympian mistress, who he has reportedly hidden away in Switzerlandas the war continues.
