Show me a man that can cook and I’ll show you a legion of girls that are already weak at the knees. Man’s biggest dilemma in the challenge of conquering a girl’s heart is the kitchen. Despite their shrill-voiced pleas and shouts that all they need in their life is a man that can cook, most men still flail at that task. So it is no wonder that when a man comes along once in a while that has mastered the art of culinary-dom, he is seen like a godlike-mutant. Just like our Man Crush for today. And it is a good thing he looks like one too.
Chef Tolu “Eros” Erogbogbo is the steaming brains behind Cookie Jar, a popular Nigerian confectionery brand which is a haven of cakes, cookies, confectioneries, frapucinos, smoothies and a dessert bar that features dessert infused with alcohol. Hungry yet? Eros’ prowess in the kitchen has seen him getting more than share of attention from the ladies and we couldn’t be less surprised.
He has been dubbed as ““the man who knows what billionaires eat for lunch” by Forbes Africa with an enviable clientele which boasts some of the countries elite entrepreneurs. He has also got an heart of gold as he has admitted that he is driven by a strong desire to end world hunger by 2030.
Whilst studying at University of Wolverhampton for a degree in International Business Management, Tolu built his experience base as a working sous chef in the United Kingdom. In 2008, the 21 year old Tolu took the bold step of setting up one of the 1st Nigerian owned intercontinental restaurants. And that resulted in a falling dominos-like series of events that has made him into every Nigerian girl’s dream man.
