May Day: FG Declares Monday May 3rd Public Holiday To Mark Workers Day

The Federal Government has declared Monday, 3rd May, a public holiday to mark the 2020 May Day/International Workers Day Celebration, as the original day of celebration for the year falls on a weekend.
This was announced in a statement released by the Ministry of Interior’s Permanent Secretary Shuaib Belgore today, quoting Minister Rauf Aregbesola congratulating the Nigerian Workers for witnessing this year’s May Day.May Day: FG Declares May 3rd Public Holiday To Mark Workers Day
Commending them for their patience, understanding, and support in driving the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in its determination to move the country to the next level of its socio-economic development, Aregbesola called for more dedication and patriotism. He further assured all Nigerian Workers and the Labour Unions that the challenges of the moment will soon be over as the government is committed to the security of lives and properties of all Nigerians.

The press release titled, FG DECLARES MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 PUBLIC HOLIDAY TO MARK 2021 WORKERS DAY CELEBRATION reads, “The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 3, 2021, public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers Day Celebration. The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigerian Workers for witnessing this year’s celebration”.May Day: FG Declares May 3rd Public Holiday To Mark Workers Day “He commended them for their patience, understanding and support in driving the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in its determination to move the country to the next level of socio-economic development. Ogbeni Aregbesola wishes all Nigerian Workers a peaceful May Day Celebration”, it ended.
